I’ve spent the last decade working with voices from brand-new beginners, through to West End and Broadway professionals who have to belt through eight shows a week. Somewhere in the middle sit the hopefuls, the graduates, and the secretly-terrified auditionees. Wherever you are in your singing or acting career, you’re welcome.
Professionally, I’ve worked on ITV’s Mamma Mia: I Have a Dream, alongside industry legends David Grindrod, Martin Lowe, Nichola Treherne, Anthony Van Laast, Fiona McDougal, and David Tench. I’ve taught at Italia Conti, and I now run my own coaching practice where I work 1:1 with performers and singers worldwide.
Every Friday and Saturday, I teach in a London studio. For those outside of London (or those who happen to be stuck in a hotel on tour, surviving on Pret sandwiches and naff instant coffee), I also teach online. If you turn up in person, you’ll likely be greeted by Belle, my little dog, who takes her role as studio assistant very seriously…mostly by sleeping under the piano and wagging her tail when she feels you’ve done well.
My teaching covers musical theatre, opera, and pop, with a focus on both performance readiness and long-term vocal health. I don’t make you audition for me (this isn’t The X Factor), but I do work with you to get show-ready, audition-ready, or simply more comfortable with your own voice.
I teach in a relaxed and informal way with a mixture of support, encouragement, and the occasional straight-talking push when something needs sorting out. If you’re preparing for a show or tackling a technical issue, we’ll get into it properly.
If you’re working through trauma and noticing how it’s showing up in your voice, I’ll work with you gently, in parallel with your therapy or ENT/SLT support. (I’m not a therapist, but I do understand, from lived experience of PTSD, how tangled the voice and the nervous system can become and I’m here to help you through it with practical exercises and plenty of emotional support.)
